Australian Senator Seeks to Block Shariah-Compliant Finance Tax Law Reforms

An Australian lawmaker has urged fellow members of parliament to block legislation that would allow financial products that met the Islamic banking principle prohibiting the payment and collection of interest.

Liberal Party Senator Cory Bernardi (pictured) said on Tuesday that sharia-compliant financial services are incompatible with the Australian and way of life as he called on his Senate colleagues to check on any further expansion of the financial products.

OBAMA ACCEPTS BLAME OVER POLL LOSS

Barack Obama, the US president, has assumed responsibility for failing to help implement domestic policies that would revive the country's troubled economy and restore job growth at a faster pace.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, he said he believes that voters are "deeply frustrated" at the slow pace of the economic recovery after they punished his Democratic party by handing control of the House of Representatives to Republicans in Tuesday's midterm elections. Read More

DANISH PARTY URGES ARAB TV BAN

Pia Kjærsgaard, leader of the far-right Danish People's Party, is calling for a ban on satellite antennas in residential areas with large immigrant populations in Denmark.
She has since pushed for the national broadcasting authority to prevent Al Jazeera and other Arab satellite channels from broadcasting in Denmark.
Kjærsgaard accuses them of "broadcasting indoctrination from the Middle Eastern world", and "inoculating the viewers in Denmark to hate Denmark and the West". READ MORE

Mecca Train Ticket Prices & Services Announced for its First Hajj Season

It was announced yesterday that Muslims wishing to use Mecca's first metro when they converge on the holy city next month for their annual pilgrimage will have to pay SR250 for a ticket that will serve them for seven days.

Three different types of tickets will cover all holy sites in Mecca and will allow the pilgrims to take the train into the city to perform their rites before returning to their residence inside or outside the city, Ajel online newspaper said, quoting Habib Zain Alabidin, Undersecretary at the Saudi Ministry of Municipal affairs.

US requests 25-year sentence for ex-child soldier Khadr

GUANTANAMO BAY (CUBA): US prosecutors on Saturday requested an extra 25 years in prison for former child soldier Omar Khadr, saying a stiff sentence for the Canadian detainee would "send a message to al-Qaida."

Khadr, in a deal with US authorities to avoid a life prison sentence, pleaded guilty last Monday to throwing a grenade that killed a US sergeant in Afghanistan in 2002, when Khadr was 15 years old.

"The world is watching," prosecuting attorney Jeffrey Groharing told Khadr in closing arguments a sentencing hearing before a special military tribunal at the US naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Read more:

Non-Muslim Religious Celebrations and Ruling on participataing

The conflict between truth and falsehood is ongoing and will last as long as this world remains. The fact that some groups among the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are following the people of falsehood such as the Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, idol-worshippers and others, whilst a group is remaining steadfast to the truth despite the pressures, is all part of the decreed system of the universe. But this does not mean that we should give in and follow the ways of those who are astray, because the one who told us that this would inevitably happen also warned us against following this path, and he commanded us to adhere firmly to Islam no matter how many people deviate from it and no matter how strong they become. He told us that the blessed one is the one who adheres steadfastly to the truth no matter what the distractions, at a time when the one who does righteous deeds will earn the reward of fifty men whose deeds are like those of the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) – as was reported in the hadeeth of Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani (may Allaah be pleased with him).

A card of love and memories

I got a card from my son.

It says "Dad i wanted 2 give u my best gift ever...but this is all i could afford" and further it says "Remembering all the good times we've Dad".

My heart was touched by the words of my beloved cute son.

I was so impressed by looking at the best gift i have ever received.

I stared at the card with tears flowing. My heart was hurt...so hurt.

I recall the memories with my dear little fellow, the most precious hours I have spent in my whole life.

And I said to myself that I will return to him and avail him to enjoy his life with a smile and by the immense love I have had always for him

I love you my son...
Your Dad
